Submission guidelines

Contributions are welcome in all research areas covering the application of quantum techniques for machine learning and optimisation tasks as well as the use of machine-learning algorithms for studying quantum systems.

At the time of the submission, authors will be asked to specify the type of submission (talk or abstract). If an abstract, submitted for a talk, is not selected, it will be automatically considered for a poster presentation.

It will be possible to present an accepted talk or accepted poster only if it is accompanied by the payment of at least one regular registration for one of the authors. It is not possible to deliver multiple presentations for one speaker.

Abstracts for oral presentations are now closed. We still accept abstracts for Late Posters. Please follow the instructions below.

Abstract Submission

Abstract and poster submissions will open on 10 April 2024. QTML 2024 is utilising the Indico system for abstract submissions. Please follow the step by step instructions below to prepare and submit your abstract. If you have any questions, please contact qtml2024@gmail.com

Prepare a 1 to 3 page abstract in PDF format for an oral presentation or 1-page abstract for poster.
Register and login to Indico at https://indico.qtml2024.org/register/ (View screen shot)
Navigate to the “Call for Abstracts” page at https://indico.qtml2024.org/event/1/abstracts/ (View screen shot)
Click on “Submit New Abstract” (View screen shot)
Choose “Oral Presentation” or “Poster” (View screen shot)
Fill in the author fields and identify the speaker by selecting the microphone icon. (View screen shot)
Select one track that best fits your abstract.
Attach your PDF and submit.

Publication
Accepted abstracts will be collected in informal proceedings that will be distributed at the conference.
After the conference, authors of original contributions will be invited to submit an extended version of their abstracts to the Quantum Machine Intelligence journal (https://link.springer.com/journal/42484).

Updating a Contribution

Log into https://indico.qtml2024.org with your registered username.
Click on “My Contributions” (View screen shot)
Choose your contribution by clicking on it (View screen shot)
Click on the crayon icon to edit it. (View screen shot)
Hover your mouse over the uploaded file. Use rubbish bin icon to select delete or crayon icon to alter the details of your contribution. (View screen shot)
The rubbish can icon deletes the selected materials. You can upload files to replace an abstract. (View screen shot)
You use the same interface to upload your presentation slides or Poster to the indico service. It will be available for download to the presentation computer and the world in general after the conference.
